TimeCal.net ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at https://timecal.net. This page explains what information we collect when you use our calculators, how we use it, and what choices you have.

The short version: TimeCal.net is a free calculator site. We do not require registration, we do not sell your data, and our calculators work without any personal information from you.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Our calculators (date calculator, time span calculator, half-birthday calculator) work entirely with dates you enter in the form fields. These dates are processed on the server to compute a result and are not stored in any database or log tied to your identity.

Log data

Like any web server, ours automatically records standard HTTP log data when you visit a page. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, and the date and time of each request. Log files are used solely for security and performance monitoring and are rotated regularly.

Analytics

We use StatCounter and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, approximate geographic region, referring site). Neither service is used to build individual user profiles or to track you across other websites for advertising purposes.

2. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for the following purposes:

• Theme preference — a cookie stores your light/dark mode preference so it persists across visits. It contains no personal data.
• Analytics — StatCounter sets a cookie to distinguish unique visits. No personally identifiable information is stored in it.
• Cloudflare — Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance (e.g. bot detection). See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Our calculators will continue to work without cookies, though your theme preference will not be saved.

3. Third-Party Services

TimeCal.net uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy which governs the data they collect:

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioural advertising trackers.

4. Children's Privacy

TimeCal.net does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

5. Links to Other Websites

Our pages may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

6. Data Security

All traffic to TimeCal.net is encrypted via HTTPS. We do not store payment information or passwords (no accounts exist on this site). While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
